I just got Blood:The Last Vampire on DVD and I must say ....WOW! 2d and 3d animation combined in images, Excellent new twists (as far as any movie *I* ever saw) to the vampire lore, decent character development (it could've been deeper for my tastes but then again I like deep long storylines...), all around....this DVD created by the same folks who created Ninja Scroll kicks ASS!
the storyline is the last vampire in the world is used by the Government during the beginning of the Vietnam War to stop the spread of vampires (i.e. she kills them...). The vampires are found on a military base and she is sent to stop them.
Consider also that in the OPENING CREDITS a vampire bites it on a moving subway train and I think you'll see why I like this movie overall.

I still need to see this flick... I keep hearing good and bad, so I've been wary, and I'm often known to be anti CG-animation, but then this movie (if it can be called that, I believe it's simply a 40 minute OVA) uses a slightly different technique, using traditional drawn characters and then animated them in the computer... but this is what I've HEARD... I'll have to borrow yours.... ;D
